In South Africa the climate is temperate. Just like in Hawaii, they get a lot of nice warm sunlight throughout the year. The only area where it is possible to snow is the Drakensburg mountain range where at the peak (Mafadi) it is 3,450 metres high.

This is a break down of the climate across the country |
Overall the country does not vary much in climate difference which means most of the areas receive the same kind of weather occurrences like rainfall.

In the above table it shows the range of temperatures for Winter and Summer. The average rainfall per year that this country sees is around 464mm. This area is known for its sunny, balmy days and most of the rain will happen during the summer and not the winter like here in Hawaii with our Hawaiian Snow (rain, unless you are on Mauna Kea where is actually snows sometimes). In Hawaii we can expect about 204 mm of rain per year which means we see less of it than they do.
