South Africa has around 43,000,000 people. That is a 741% difference than the US with its population of 318,860,032. It is just as much of a melting pot as Hawaii is due to its location on the map. It is a very centralized place and I think that most people from the colder parts of Asia would not mind going down for a visit with some more warm temperatures. Most people live in the city areas like Johannesburg or Cape Town. Not only are they full of diversity but very picturesque as well. Also, since these are big tourist destinations most everything there is in English. South Africa had recognized 11 different languages but English is the language of their paperwork, business deals, street signs, etc.

Agriculture and fisheries are their big sources of food. Since they are surround both by ocean and land it makes sense that they would make use of both. Their socio-economic growth is very dependent on their crops and also on their tourism, just like Hawaii.
